Consciousness is a “big” word. For years, I didn’t quite grasp what that had to do with my well-being and living a fulfilling life. It has taken lots of exploration for me to realize that consciousness boils down to awareness and connection.
Our capacity to heal and live our hearts’ desires depends on how aware we are and how much we feel connected with ourselves and all of life. When we live in the outer circles, we tend to react. This hinders our abilities to see clearly.
When we are in victim consciousness, we attribute our pain to causes beyond our control. We think we have to suffer because of diagnoses, family situations, difficult people, limited resources, and so on.
Our perceived limitation gives us a way out of owning our role in the situation. That orientation also disconnects us from the Creator. As a result, we think we have no choice but to endure the pain.
Most of us live in self-help consciousness. It is encouraging to know we can improve our lives instead of feeling powerless from circumstances. At this stage, we focus on gathering resources and may take pride in what we know.
We use our knowledge to arrange or control situations to get what we want. With increasing success, we may become overconfident and dismiss constructs that do not fit our paradigm. Some feel despondent when there is regression.
With self-help, we learn to build cocoons to ward off negativity, and keep ourselves safe and happy. This works until we realize that to live fully, we need to break the cocoons so that we can be freed to express all that we are.
Pain avoidance is usually the priority when we live in victim or self-help consciousness. Many people move towards cocreator consciousness because they aspire to visions that they know can only be fulfilled with Divine help.
Self-help consciousness is connected with the warrior in us while cocreator consciousness is more connected with the visionary in us. Both are helpful, depending on the situation and where we are in life.
While self-help consciousness focuses on what we know, cocreator consciousness asks us to step into the unknown. Instead of using healing to resolve specific issues, we use healing to birth a greater version of us.
Trusting the mysterious power of the Universe is a big learning in cocreator consciousness. With our preferences, we need to be willing to step aside so that the Creator can guide us.
We might or might not get what we want, but the journey to live our destiny is filled with such grace and beauty. It is far better than what we expect from fulfilling our desires.
When we step into the new version of us, we cultivate Divine connection at the cellular level. We receive guidance and incredible support on tiny and big matters. We see the elaborate Divine plan for our development.
Returning to our core again and again allows us to transcend limitations, sense into new possibilities and attune to resources we couldn’t see before. When we live in our core, we can elevate consciousness of those in the outer circles.
The more often we stay in our core, the faster we heal, and the more fulfilling life becomes.
Cocreating with the Divine might seem outlandish. Through my work, I’ve learned that awakening divine qualities within us is necessary if we want to live our destiny in a fulfilling way. It is a form of devotion to our Higher Self.
Many of us think more is better. Overwhelm easily moves us out of our core. Who we are being affects the quality of our actions; that is far more important than our actions and words.
