Be a Love Activist

In the spirit of Valentine’s Day, I wish you feeling deep love within you everyday!

I have been exploring how love dissolves fear, despair, and sense of separation from perceived differences. It’s also exciting to see how a loving space allows healing and beautiful connections to emerge.

One of my most unexpected lessons about love took place when I was healing the tumors in my body. Instead of seeing the tumors as something to get rid of, I was guided to connect with the messages they had for me.

During one of my practices, unfamiliar and scary sounds would come out of me. Feeling unsettled, I asked my mentor about it.

She commented on the power of using the vocal cords to release stuck energy. Knowing my work with Divine Mother, she reminded me that qualities of Divine Mother covered a broad spectrum.

Divine Mother can be gentle and compassionate, like Mother Mary or Quan Yin; and Divine Mother can be fierce, like Kali who is a Hindu Goddess of death and rebirth. Kali may be intimidating, but Her love for us is so strong that Her fiery energy clears away false perceptions and outdated stories.

When Kali visited me, She was adamant about me taking a stand for my connection with Divine Mother. She asked me to stop thinking of using words to disguise or dilute my relationship with Divine Mother.

In summary, Kali was asking me to love and honor myself by revealing my truth, even when others do not understand or believe me. The encounter had a profound impact on me as I felt the heat in my solar plexus during Her visit.

For fear of being shunned, everyone of us has aspects of ourselves that we don’t want to reveal to others. Freedom and joy can only happen when we embrace all parts of us, which includes our fears, regrets and shame.

When we open-heartedly love into all aspects of ourselves, we stop projecting what we don’t want to see within ourselves into the world. These projections often show up as criticism, condemnation, alienation, and so on.

When we are compassionate with ourselves, we are more able to be compassionate for others even when they trigger us or disagree with us. Compassionate exchanges give rise to greater connections and intimacies.

Offering chocolates, flowers and gifts is a beautiful way to express love. Being accommodating, generous and supportive of others is another form of loving expression.

For a transformative and enriching love affair with ourselves, others and all of life, we need to start with loving ourselves deeply. The more we allow ourselves to be vulnerable and truthful with ourselves, the freer we become.

Being authentic generates a magnetic loving glow around us. People sense safety from this love, which allows their deeper needs and truth to be revealed in the most unexpected ways.

It has been said that love is the most powerful force in the universe. In addition to speaking love, we need to live and walk as love. Let’s infuse loving compassion beyond inspirational gatherings or spiritual practices.

If you want to experience loving connection in all areas of your life, contact me for a free 1/2-hour consultation. I partner with Divine Mother to use the power of love to dissolve long-standing conflicts and change trajectory of trying circumstances.
